Phone & Email Based Help Desk Support

We are pleased to announce the creation of a phone & email based Help Desk Support solution for the SHCP suite of software, SHCP models and FCCS and ASA models and databases.  The SHCP, FCCS, and ASA software may have originally been provided to you at no cost and required for use to support your project modeling, calculation and analysis results.  For those users that may not be experienced with these tools, the learning curve can be steep.

This service is designed to help you get up and running in a short period of time, avoiding the most common mistakes that often lead to model rework, spent hours, and possible schedule delays.  Your users can focus on the project at hand by drawing upon our 40+ years of experience of using SHCP and the Stability Software Suite of tools.  We can help your staff get on the right track, avoid time consuming miss-steps, and help them understand what isn’t printed in the User Manual.

How it works:

  • You decide the level of support you need at a current rate of $110.00 / hour (5 hour minimum).
  • Request a quote via JohnR@Stability-SHCP.com or JM.Rosborough@gmail.com
  • You receive an email quote and upon acceptance by your firm you provide: POC Name, Phone #, Address, and company name.
  • A Square based invoice is emailed to you that is electronically payable upon receipt.
  • Upon payment a billing ID number is provided which you provide to your staff.
  • They call and/or email me with their questions quoting the POC Name and associated ID number.
  • We help your staff resolve their SHCP model or tool-set problems or FCCS and ASA database issues.

I will be judicious with the use of your paid time and sensitive to your need for a quick response.

Benefits:

  • Buy the amount of support you need – It never expires !  Easy to add more.
  • Use it when you need it.  Gets new users up to speed more quickly saving you time and costs.
  • I can trouble shoot modeling problems quickly and provide the user with the understanding needed but not found in the standard manuals.
  • Keeps your users from becoming stalled and frustrated.  Keeps your projects on schedule.
  • Worried about project sensitivity? I’m willing to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDA).
  • Classified project?  That may take a bit more time to arrange, however I currently maintain a US government TS clearance.

On-Site Training (Classes)

Whether you have personnel that need initial training in the basic use and functionality of the SHCP, FCCS or ASA software tools, the processes and procedures of performing stability studies and analyses, or personnel that could benefit from refresher training after having not used the software in a few years, I can provide the type of training needed tailored to your needs.

SHCP Stability Software Development and Support

As the developer of SHCP since the early 1980s, I have implemented both functional and capacity improvements along with increased efficiency of the calculation process.  I continue to provide software maintenance as required and I can provide the implementation of new functionality as desired.

The continued success of the SHCP platform has been achieved  with the development of the Stability Software Suite of tools which provide both creation and pre-processing of SHCP modeling data and the post-processing of SHCP results to provide required design products and analyses.  The creation of these tools was the result of initial automation of manual processes which were then augmented by customer feedback for better usability, scalability, and enhanced functionality.  These tools can be adapted to meet a customers specific needs or new tools can be created in conjunction with a customers design specification.

Knowledge Transfer / Research

With more than 40 years of experience in naval ship stability & reserve buoyancy calculation and analyses we are well positioned to support focused knowledge transfer and research topics.

  • Topic Synopses
Written topic synopses with associated 1 hour presentation & discussion that explain why we do what we do.
  • Analyst Manual Development
Explain software theory, internal mechanisms, integration/closure techniques, etc. that reside within the ‘black box’ of the software itself.
  • Best Practices Documentation
Modeling, analyses, processes, exceptions or hull type specific recommendations
  • Approaches to Future Development
Research and development of practical approaches as to how new stability calculation and analysis concepts could be implemented.
